Our Process

Step 1) INITIAL CONSULTATION & EXPERT SURVEY

Simply contact us with your requirement and we will efficiently arrange a survey with one of our roofing experts

Step 2) QUOTATION & TECHNICAL SURVEY

We will send you a free no obligation quotation within 48 hours of the survey. Upon acceptance we will carry out a technical survey and will instruct one of our teams to carry out the works agreed.

Step 3) QUALITY ASSURANCE & FINAL PRODUCT

We will regularly inspect the progress of the work and once completed we will then carry out a quality check to ensure the work is to our standards. Payment is then required upon satisfactory completion and all warranties are issued on receipt of payment

    What is the difference between a roof window and a skylight?

    A skylight is slightly more versatile and can be mounted to a curb which offers more installation options. Roof windows must be installed in the same orientation and plane as the surrounding roof. A skylight does not always open, being more of a daylight source as opposed to a ventilation solution. Our surveyor will be able to help and advise on the best solution for you and your home.

    Do skylights add value to your home?

    Skylights add more than just monetary value by improving the overall look and appeal of otherwise dark spaces. They add light and added interest to uninspiring space.

    What sizes are available?

    GM Roofing install Velux windows in a wide range of sizes to suit all customer requirements. Sizes range from 550mm to 1340 mm wide and varying depths 

    GM Roofing install skypods in comprehensive sizes from 2.5m to 7.75m

    What colours are available for a Velux window and skypod?

    GM Roofing install velux windows with a white or pine internal frame. A Skypod is available in blue, neutral, bronze, aqua or clear self-cleaning temperature controlled glass with frame colour options in white, rosewood, golden oak, anthracite grey and moondust.

    Can a Velux window be operated by a mobile phone?

    Yes, most Velux windows can be programmed to be operated by a mobile phone.
