Providing career opportunities to young people
In November 2021, our management team attended a Kickstart event at Evesham Job Centre. Kickstart is a Government scheme aimed at providing work experience and employment opportunities for young people.
The KickStart scheme provided opportunities for employers to enable them to create unique, exciting job placements for young people. Employers were supported to create roles which were more than just jobs, employers provided practical training and skills to enhance the young person’s future.
The Kickstart scheme was a 6 month placement, funded by the government. At the end of the 6 month scheme, we as the employer, were able say thank you to the young person who joined us and wish them well with their future career, having gained valuable work experience. We were also able to offer the young person a bright career with us.
Here at Evesham Trade Home Improvements Supercentre, we provided a Kickstart opportunity to Ryan, a roofing assistant and Nathan, a window fitting assistant. We are very pleased to have offered both Ryan and Nathan a permanent position with us and we are excited to see what the future holds for them.
Ady Pritchard - Celebrating 10 years with GM Roofing
In July 2022, Ady celebrated 10 successful years of working at GM Roofing. Ady is a valuable employee who has developed his skills with the company and is now one of our lead roofers. Ady has completed quality roofing projects for hundreds of happy customers throughout his 10 years with us.
